After careful analyzing of the metal composition of the dagger, found in the Pharaoh’s tomb, researchers claim that maybe it may have an extraterrestrial origin.

X-ray fluorescence spectrometer was used for determining the dagger’s chemical composition. It was found that there is high nickel content and high levels of cobalt. According to the researchers this content “strongly suggests an extraterrestrial origin”.
Similar levels of cobalt and nickel were found in one meteorite, called Kharga, situated around the Red Sea coast of Egypt. The recent findings were published in the recent volume 51, issue 7 of the journal Meteoritics & Planetary Science.
Rocks - gifts from gods
Copper, bronze and gold were used by people since 4000 BC. However, the use of copper came much later. The researchers claim that ancient Egyptians considered the meteorites as rocks falling from the sky. They were like gifts from the gods. That is why they used this metal for creating these delicate objects.
